On Thursday 24 September 2026, Venerable Fulton J. Sheen will be beatified in St. Louis. After that hour he is called Blessed. It is not canonization. It is the step before.
You do not need a plane ticket. You need the clock and a screen.

The hour that matters
The Mass begins at 2:00 p.m. Central Time in the United States. In Norway that is 21:00.
The procession starts at 20:30 Norway time.
Watch on EWTN — the website, the app, or EWTN’s YouTube channel. If 21:00 is too late, EWTN plans an encore at 04:00 Friday in Norway.
What you will see
Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle presides, in the name of the Pope. A short account of Sheen’s life is read. The apostolic letter is proclaimed in Latin and in English. Sheen is named Blessed. An image with a halo is shown. A relic is brought forward for veneration. Then the Mass continues.

Around the Mass
- Sunday 20 September, 22:00 Norway — Mass for the anniversary of Sheen’s ordination, from Peoria (EWTN).
- Wednesday 23 September, midnight into Thursday in Norway — Vespers at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis.
- 25–26 September — thanksgiving Masses back in Peoria, including a Byzantine liturgy on the 26th.
The days in Peoria and St. Louis are for pilgrims on the ground. From Norway, Thursday at 21:00 is the door.
A beatification on a screen is still a beatification. It is not a parish. Sheen knew the difference. Watch if you can. If you cannot, keep the hour.
